Microsoft verkar inte riktigt gett upp ännu när det gäller sin surfplatta och bekräftar nu att jobba på en mindre variant.
Nyligen tog Microsoft beslutet och sänkte upplösningskravet för Windows 8 vilket ganska snabbt började spekuleras om att vi ska få se mindre surfplattor och visst stämde det.
Nu har Microsofts CFO, Peter Klein bekräftat att man jobbar på en mindre variant av Surface.
Over the last couple of months, we’ve started seeing devices that take full advantage of Windows 8, and we expect to see more devices across more attractive price points over the coming months. As part of this, we are also working closely with OEMs on a new suite of small touch devices powered by Windows. These devices will have competitive price points, partly enabled by our latest OEM offerings designed specifically for these smaller devices, and will be available in the coming months.
Det avslöjas dock inte om det handlar om en Windows 8 eller Windows RT platta men att det blir en ”mini-surface” är ganska så klart. Med lite tur kanske vi t.om kan få se mini-surface lagom till sommaren och presenteras på årets Computex som håller igång 4-8 juni.
